I know exactly what your talking about. My wife was happy with the used price we paid but I am the one paying for it now. I've spent day after day working on our camper. I had no idea there was so much to caulk on a camper. Not to mention the hours upon hours stripping the silicone caulk the previous owner used.
Next is getting the weight distribution hitch setup on our truck and horse trailer. We added the Magnum hitch and Torklift frame mount camper tie downs to our new truck. What a hitch! - monicarick01ExplorerThanks Sticky for the info I will check. I know one off my problems is the LP holding area fills up with water and drains into the lower Compartments.
I also installed a Maxair II, water proofed the wood in my leaking areas, added 2 inch foam board to the bottom of my camper to lift it up to clear my over head lights on the truck. I also cleaned out the hot water tank with a wash out wand and a magnet. Now I know why I never have bought a used rv before. The price is good but getting it into good shape is a killer. - stickyeyeExplorerMonicarick01,

Check the bottom of the door frames and make sure they have weep holes drilled in them. If they have weep holes on top of the door frame caulk them and drill new ones in the bottom. Im talking about the door's frame itself (swing outs), not the frame screwed to the camper. I had an AF with the same problem and found that water was filling up inside the door frame and draining into the storage compartments. Don't know if this is your issue but hope it helps.

- Mello_MikeExplorerGreat idea, DJ!! I have the same problem with my camper. Another item to add to my modification to do list. :)
- Buzzcut1Nomad III lightened the load on the truck by about 100#s by removing the 48" supertruss extension. Next its off to fuel it, fill propane and wash it, then pack for next weekends fishing trip. I always forget then quickly remember how heavy and awkward that sucker is to get it out from under the truck and TC then carry it to the storage shed.
