- bka0721Explorer IINice. I would wonder, though, installing something that has a specific weight, like the Accumulator tank and H2O pump in a vertical mounting position. For me, I travel a lot on very rough roads, often washboard, so there is a lot of pounding going. This impacts many things inside the camper, even latches on the cabinet doors. I am just wondering if it might be better to relocate these items from the thin skin of the wall, to the flat open horizontal surface in front of the picture? But, if you don't travel off pavement much, it would probably be a non-issue.
I have put this out there before, but with the ease of water availability, will you find yourself using water more than you would when it took more effort to use? For me it comes down to which commodity is finite, the water availability or battery reserve. For that reason I chose not to install a water accumulator. If my travels allowed me more access to water, I would definitely install an accumulator.
Nice Clean install!
b - RbertalottoExplorersounds good.....thank
- DWeikertExplorer IIEver notice how the pump does the run/stop/run/stop in short bursts when you run water? This reduces those cycles and smooths out the water flow. In theory, it extends the life of the pump by reducing the start/stop cycles.
- RbertalottoExplorerLooks awesome.........What does it do?

Now I just need it to stop raining so I can finish de-winterizing, fill the FW tank and check for leaks. - narcodogExplorer IINot today but a few days ago I got rid of the depleted Optima and installed a Universal group 24 in the engine compartment.
I spent four days in the GSMNP and just used the Universal for the first three days. I used the mattress warmer two nights plus all of the other stuff. With the 75 amphrs instead of the 55 it worked great. I drew it down to 60% then went to the other set up. I didn't want to pull it down further on it's first draw down.
One thing I'll say no more Optimas for me... - HarleybulletExplorerMike Why did it gain weight from last year or is it all those mods? Love the website..... Dave
- Mello_MikeExplorerTook my truck and camper to a nearby CAT scale to get reweighed.
- portscannerExplorerI bought a de-humidifier and put it in the TC. That thing is going to be turned on and running through September unless we are out camping. Not going to deal with the mess we had last year with mildew!!!!
Set it on the counter so it will drain into the grey tank. We are out camping at least once a month so I dont have to worry about the tank overflowing (or the bucket in th de-humidifier filling up and it shutting down) - the_tc_lifeExplorerfinished a good spring cleaning on the inside of the camper. MOST importantly, i put new batteries in the smoke / co detector. have you checked your detector lately?
ill be taking it out for a day use trip saturday, then next weekend a short trip over to montana.
