Just saw this, here it is :)
Spent some time figuring what to pack and where. Going from an A we are used to more space (well DW is used to more space). I've packed for motorcycle camp trips, so I can adjust.
First trip is this weekend pulling the Jeep on a trailer.
- the_tc_lifeExplorerwe got a "little giant ladder system" so now i can easily clean the outside of the camper. especially the nose where the bugs are splattered. the scaffolding is nice. i took the picture before i spread the platform all the way across the nearest ladder section but you get the idea. its a great ladder to help work on the camper while at home.

- mike_mckExplorerChanged the oil on My Onan 2.5 microlight. Here is the interesting part. It shut down at exactly 100 hours while I was out camping. 100 hours is the recommended oil change interval. Big trouble. Only had an electric coffee maker. No coffee for me. Bad day.
Plenty of propane but no start. Oil full, battery full WTH?
owners manual nor service manual say at 100 hours it shuts down until you change the oil.
Well changed the oil and fired right up.
Lesson learned. carry a coffee maker for the stove and carry a 14mm socket, funnel and a quart of oil. - DWeikertExplorer II

This could be a great Thread. Why the accumulator tank, why this size, why this brand, advantages, are their other tanks and if so from where.
Installed a small accumulator tank

Now I just need it to stop raining so I can finish de-winterizing, fill the FW tank and check for leaks.
With an in depth discussion, there is a lot that can be learned on this subject.

I wish I could claim a lot of science when into my tank selection. This is the Shurflo tank, which is one of 2 accumulator tanks I found at RV part stores. FloJet also makes a similar sized accumulator but the FloJet uses quick connect fittings where the Shurflo uses threaded couplings which was a better match for my plumbing. I've seen others here install a small residential accumulator which would be larger than this model, but I didn't have the space. Besides this mounted like the space was made for it.
I did get to leak test when I de-winterized yesterday and no surprises. Pump cycling was reduced significantly. - joeshmoeExplorer IIIGonna remove the gigantic decals on the rear, front cap and sides. Not to mention, Northwood isn't paying me a dime to advertise their product.
I don't mind the black/maroon colored swooshes and stripes though.
Anyone that's ever had to pay for advertising knows how expensive it is. Line graphics are one thing but outright, rolling billboard style advertising is another. Really should be an option IMO.
Maybe I'm a little paranoid but there's also the fact that the oversized wolfs head on the front and rear resembles a giant target. No thanks
I'll post some before and afters photos. - flht_dbExplorerPicked up the Eagle Cap 950 Yesterday.
- dakonthemountaiExplorerI FINALLY took out the nasty aluminum blinds in the bedroom area of the cabover. Then I fabricated drapery rods to install custom made black out drapes on that match the ones I had made for the dinette area and front window last year.
Happy!
:)
Dak - bens170ExplorerI installed a Midland handheld 40 channel CB radio inside the cab of the truck with a 4 foot Firestick antenna mounted on the left front fender. Also installed a hand rail inside the TC,near the side entry door. Removed two lead acid batteries and installed one Odyssey 12V AGM battery, replaced broken Pollak disconnect push pull switch and one 40 Amp circuit breaker.
- campn4walleyeExplorerAt this point, the TC is still sitting snugly in the neighbor's storage building. We can't get it out until the other 3 RVs get removed. One was removed today.
But we still have some things to do to ours anyway.
We finally ordered the Happi jac swing out extensions. Hopefully, that will add some more distance between the fenders.
We have to install the baffle behind the fridge. Hopefully, that will fix our thermofuse blowing issue. It was sent to us from Dometic. Will let you know if it works.
DH has to tear apart one of the jacks that is so loud it's embarrassing. They were sent back to HJ and "fixed", but 1 is still slipping.
Here's to a season of relaxing camping! I wonder when it will happen. Will keep you posted.
