- RaftenExplorerAlas, not much. I haven't been able to get around let alone drive a six speed for 7 weeks. If things don't improve it may be the end of TC travel for us. TC has not been neglected while sitting as I check for condensation often and keep the battery up. Can't get on the roof to clean twigs and such off from the recent wind and rain so got to talk my kid into doing it. NorCal recieved two good storms so there is hope but water will still be precious this summer if no more storms
- dakonthemountaiExplorerI sat and read in the Lance and had a cocktail. Then decided I'd service/check the batteries that came with it (miss my AGM!!) Found out that the truck is NOT charging the batteries, but the converter is. I will have to raise the camper and check the plug wiring; as I also don't have back up lights. I purchased this camper, plugged it in and drove home without checking the charging system from the truck or the back up lights (all other lights work fine.) I "think" the wiring might be reversed for the back up and charging line, but won't know until I tear into it. Glad I found out before taking it out in the wilderness for the first time!

I plugged in the camper to get power inside. The batteries charged some. They stunk up the inside of the camper with battery gas. They are junk.
I cleaned the interior and unloaded some excess stuff.
I ordered new batteries for it today too.
Go for AGM's and be done with it...
One of the best investments we made in our TC's. - trailgranny50ExplorerEven after the extended battle and winning the side awning war DH still bemoaned the fact HE wanted a back door awning, since our camper isn't built to accommodate a factory one I've been working on a redneck fix. Wanted to be able to install and remove it from the camper door so as no not need to haul a ladder and got that figured out. Finishing the shock corded tent pole supports and spreader bar at the outside end today then done. Hope he appreciates it.

Yesterday, I heard that the place that is going to rebuild my TC had a fire. Lentz RV Repair, Tacoma.
That's not good. Lentz has rebuilt many campers. I haven't been to the location they moved to. The were on Mtn Highway for as long as I can remember. I'm not even sure where they moved to. A friend that sill lives on the wet side told me they moved further north on Pac Ave.- NVR2L82AV8ExplorerServiced my two year old GRP 27 Batteries with some distilled water. Cells looked great and no more than 3ozs of water per cell....pretty good for the desert.

- JumboJetExplorerCarried the First Aid kit I received for Christmas and put it in the camper. The last time I needed a first aid kit while camping I could only find a Scooby-Do bandaid :)
- pjay9ExplorerYesterday, I heard that the place that is going to rebuild my TC had a fire. Lentz RV Repair, Tacoma...going to call them and find out what is going on, if I am going to be able to get in or what! Pics show a MH pulled out the is 7/8 burned, Looked new!
Also for the past week I have been charging the truck bats as it would start..DAH!!! The charger said it was topped off on both...in goes the key and the dash lights up and the heater statrs and the fuel pump kicks on and everything goes dark...So I put charger on START function and got a click at the starter...Hauled them out in the drizzle and down to Budget Battery...tested and each bat had dead cells...the funny thing is both battery cells that were dead were at the end of the battery next to the firewall, which puts one cell at the POS end and the other battery cel at the NEG end...funny!
Any ideas, why?
Dropped them in and voila she fires right up...They were over 4 years and were 5 year bats, so I got prorated purcahse, instead of 119 each I got them for 83 each...of course they are my go to battery place...will get my two new batteries for the TC battery upgrade to 4 this year too...they'll do the custom wires as well...great place!
