turtletalk and eugarps...
We spend so much time in physical therapy and emergency rooms that we have little time for travels and boating.
But we keep on dreaming...
Sleepy,
Hobie Cats would be great therapy for your knee and Mrs. Sleepy as well. Lot's of gentle stretching and total body exercise in the sun. You don't have to get crazy with these things like I do. Mrs. Eugarps asks to get off before I do that stuff. She'll still ride with me in whitewater though but prefers lake paddling on quiet evenings.
"Believe me, my young friend, there is NOTHING--absolute nothing--half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats. Simply messing,' he went on dreamily: `messing--about--in--boats; messing----'" ~ Water Rat, Wind in the Willows, Kenneth Graham
Guess I just an unrepentant water rat... :W
Bill
We have had watercraft over the years... Canoes, john boats, an Arisrtocraft 19 in-board/out-board, and a Aire Super Puma white water raft with all of the equipment to run the colorado river with 6 adukts.
We still have the Aire super Puma Raft and our Herters 18' canoe.
Boats are a hole in the water where you pour money... very expensive on a cost per use basis...
Some people think that about RV's... with a 1007 nights we are breaking even (maybe) in our TC
As far as gentle stretching therapy... we are both doing 3 days of stringent therapy a week. Janet has been in the emergency room twice since her surgery. Including last week. Can't get far from....
I'm getting plenty of exercise... changing and making the bed, doing the laundry, trying to get the shopping done and into the house... making snacks... eating out if we are already out...
We have dust bunnies that I can't keep up with... many have grown into RABID RABBITS. They nip at my toes... I just can't find to get to them. Kicking at them just makes them swirl around.
Nice leasurely time = naps when possible interupted by Dr visits and more PT.
Good news... bones hurt... everything else has the potential to kill you. Getting old still beats the alternitive.
So... no hobbie cats for us... if we flipped we couldn't save ourselves.
