We knew that it was going to get cold... but it dropped to 39F... and I wasn't really prepared for it... just extra blankets last night... then ignored it.
RV's are very hot... or very cold... there just isn't any room for insulation.
Truth is... Four season campers are a salesmans lie.
It's hard to be comfortable at 10F... storm windows and all. 90F is hot... and our RV's hold the heat until midnight.
So... about 4:30 am this morning I turned on and set the furnace thermostat for 70F and turned on and set the PlatCat thermostat for 72F
Once the camper heated up the furnace went to sleep... the Platcat carried it perfectly, at least in the dinette area. The far corners don't "see" the radiant heat from the Platcat... neither does the bath room.
Janet slept through my set-up... I went back to sleep until 9:30 am.
We continued east on US-50 to Hillsboro, Ohio... then we've spent the remainder of the day in a nice city park. collecting solar rays....
While here I cleaned the PVSolar panels... inspected the roof, fitted the bubble wrap solar shades into the cabover windows.... they'll keep us warm through the next few days until this cold spell lifts. (I haven't added the storm windows yet... we'll have more hot weather before we get home.)
We are still heading east on US-50... a little more leaf color every day.
No destination... maybe stop in Hurricane WV as we pass to the east.
