Thanks for the encouragement from all of you. And the offer of help from you Rod... bet you'ed even come to the house to help.
We stayed in Hillsboro, Ohio last night.
The Platcat kept up by itself until the outside temp was down to about 40F... the best the Platcat could do was about 65F at that point.
I kicked on the TC furnace... it went through one cycle... the platcat held for another hour so... then the furnace jumped into help... at 9am today our batteries still had 85% charge... WOW!
As you can see... I'm enjoying the chance to really try out the Platcat... it is a lot better that I'd dreamed it would be. (Thats what my friends tell me about their Wave heaters)
Combining it with the furnace seems to be ideal.
Today... we went to Paint Creek Lake (the federal portion was closed) The Ohio State Park was open... hundreds of sites... about 20 RV's in use... another hundred simipermanant looking... and at least 80 very nice sites available.
We didn't stay tonight of course... you should have seen the bonfire... SMOKE. I avoided it but a wind shift would have choked me up.
Janet got some pictures... when we get to a good place for the internet we'll post. Most of what I'm doing is over the iPhone 5.
We are in Jackson OH... on US-35.
