Another project during 2014:
Our Truck camper is a 2003 Lance 1161... It has been kept on the truck for more than 10 years.... the only time it has been off the truck is for maintainance...
The leaf springs have been slowly sagging.... but my air bags kept it level.
This year I finally decided to have a couple of leaves added. I made an appointment with Lawrence Henegar at Knoxville Spring Service. I left the camper on the truck so that he'd know what I expected.
I told him that II'd like it level, that all of the tanks were set up for a trip... i.e., diesel fuel full, propane full, freshwater full, holding tanks empty
I also let the air out of the airbags and asked him to leave them for me.
You can see the stock springs that came on our 2003 GMC 1 ton crewcab in this picture (this is how I add air to the airbags, 20 strokes of the pump to 100PSI.
