As I said before... the real reason that we were going through Clarksdale, MS was Morgan Freman... and his Night Club/Resturant/hotel there.
When we pulled into the space where we patked our truck camper a well dressed man walked over as we were heading for the Delta Blues Museum and welcomed us... asked where we were from... where we were going. He gave us his business card. I politely thanked him... shook his hand and watched him walk away... he turned and came back and said... "He'll be here tonight"
Being a dummy I said who... he answered... "Why Morgan of course" I finally looked at the business card... he wasn't selling siding... He was the Mayor of Clarksdale.
When we went in to eat later... the mayer came it with a group af nicely dressed folks and sat at a table near the stage. Our waitress told us... he was also Morgan Freemans partner.
After his meal he stayed and mixed with the patrons... here they are at the side of the stage.
We stayed in town over night... you can guess where.
