The general Moss-Magnuson rule is aftermarket devices / fluids / supplies that meet the OEM specs are permitted.
No non-Ford branded additive I know of have openly certified their stuff as expressly safe on the Bosch CP4 pump, nor do I believe they did endurance / reliability testing with Bosch. If any brand did so, feel free to chime in.
They are certified as "generally" safe. I posted a procedure used by a refinery /terminal additive firm as to how they test for safety.
Note the procedure is, IMHO, obsolete for the CP 4 pump.
That is why I am alerting everyone to beware of non FORD additives until more is known.
I find it astonishing that even a small amount of water found in the water separator is sufficient to trigger the warranty denial.
