169 to I65 How are driving conditions?

Heading out tomorrow. Taking 169 to 165. Staying at Camping World in Indy/greenwood. 50 amp plug ins to keep us warm. How are the roads?
  • Dutchman We have travelled this road several times. I have to say I have never noticed the bunny! I will keep my eyes peeled. A honk and a wave for sure.

When you come down I-69 between Anderson and Pendleton, Indiana, you'll see the big Nestle' bunny on the right side of the road. It's pretty big, you can't miss it. When you pass by, give it a wave! I live 2 1/2 miles from the "bunny"! With the crops down right now, we can see the bunny from our front porch. It's a tiny light from our porch, but we can still see it!

  • Oh, I get it.. that's I-69 not 169.

Perhaps they have traffic cams in the area. They're very handy.
  • Interstates are completely clear in Indiana. We had snow yesterday, but the road departments did very well on clearing things off.

Temps this morning were 12 degrees (F). Tomorrow morning (Dec 15), television stations are saying temps around Indianapolis will be single digits, with wind chill 15 below (F). But by Saturday, we're warming back up to near 50 degrees.

Apart from the up and down in warmth and freezing, you should have no problems on the roads.
  • I69 just north of I465 can be a mess anytime. Try to time your travels thru this area between 10am and 3pm to avoid the rush. Safe travels.
