This route will be OK, I use that route to go to the coast from the East Bay and when towing we are 53'. You probably will still get traffic on I80 and I680 until you get on US101 at San Jose. I don't think that there is a good time to go through the SF Bay Area. JMO

Any day is going to have lots of traffic in the Bay Area. Sunday morning probably the least. If you have to travel on Monday, go before the morning commute (before 6:30 am) or between the morning commute and the beginning of the afternoon commute (10:00 am - 3:00 pm). Highway 37 often has delays.

I am going down Monday

Either 101 to 116 to 37 or 101 to 37 are fine for RVs. We have taken out 30' TT over 116 from the East Bay to North of Ukiah. We currently prefer 101 directly to 37. Best days to travel, Sundays.
