Big rig driving in Alaska
The original plan was to wait until after the Alaska trip this year and then we were going to get a bigger rig to full time in. Well we started having some problems last summer while traveling and I needed to go ahead and get the new on now. So now we are driving a 43' Newmar Dutch Star, towing a Jeep Wrangler behind it. I guess my biggest concern is how do I know what roads can I travel safely. Also I prefer not to tear up our new MH, it needs to last a quite a few years. The closer to the time we are to getting on the road, and the more UTube video's I watch the more nervous I am becoming. Saw one video at a border crossing where the height was 12'8", we are a foot taller than that. Any words of wisdom from any of you that have made the Alaska trip in a big rig, would be appreciated.
