Buffalo, NY to Jefferson, OH

I am seeking advice regarding my trip from above Buffalo to Jefferson,OH. One way would be to basically take I-90,a toll road. The alternate is to take Rt 5 and Rt 20 along the lake. Any advice and experience will be appreciated.
The tolls will be about $16.
Thanks
  • I am starting at Four Mile State Campground in Youngstown, NY.
    Thanks for you help.
  • I suggest that you take Rt 5, less small towns and speed traps. You also get a bonus of driving along the lake.

You can get back on I-90 at Ripley.

Let me know exactly where you are starting from so I can help getting out of Buffalo.
  • 20 is nice and as a bonus you can fill up on the Seneca Indian nation in Irving, NY $2.00 a gallon. plus you miss the tolls. But I would get on 90 to go around Erie, Pa so get on 90 at the first Pennsylvania (not PA) exit
