Canada road atlas

Can anyone recommend a good Canadian bound road atlas? I'm planning a trip next summer to the Atlantic provinces, but also want one for the whole country.
  • We are headed to Peter Lougheed Provincial park Boulton campground with electric for five nights. We are hitting Glacier Campground on Sunday the third then moving up Provincial highway 40 (only open for about 4 or five months out of the year). We will get in on the fourth (not a holiday up there)and stay the week oome home on the weekend. We love it up there.

This area is like Glacier or Banff without the people. We can hit Canmore if we want, or the Kananaskis Village and the one gas station for about 40 miles. The parks are beautiful.
  • Vic: Got a post elsewhere about our Annual Surprise Raid on Vancouver Island. Jumpin' the rez next Monday and heading northwest.

I've been using a WalMart Rand McNally for years. Very good atlas, plus it lists the locations of all the WalMart and Good Sam stores by state/province/city and tells you how toget there.

Are you warming up for the summer migration to the north?

Good to hear from you, it has been a while.

  • Nothing, but nothin' beats the provincial road maps.

No commercially prepared atlas ever gives you the info of a provincial map. Granted you have to organize.

.......as to how to get those maps prepared by said provincial governments, go to www.google.ca and search "name of province + tourism". Call or use online options. Me, I like to talk to said province then I can ask about my special interests.

  • I prefer Michelin maps for everything
If it's not available I go with Cccmaps.com, can't go wrong.

We got ours in Alberta. It is hardcopy but that is all it says on the front. Nice atlas slightly different than rand McNally approach. We got the north America version.
