Headed S on RT77 through Charlotte - which road?

Hey all,

I'm traveling South on RT 77 and need to go through, or around, Charlotte, NC. Do I stay on 77 or go around by taking 485 (the side that passes the airport)?

I will be making the return trip as well so advise on going North too please.

If it matters, I'm pulling our 33' TT.

I just did this trip 2 weeks ago... I stayed on 77 right through the gut of Charlotte.... It also was at 5PM so anyway I decided to go was a bad deal for me... 77 is a fine road with 3 lanes all the way through Charlotte . .

just stay on rt77. don,t get any better.
