Killarney PP

I'm thinking that we should head up to Killarney PP next summer.
But when I do a site search there is only about 6 sites rated for a 25ft trailer. Our's is 28' bumper to hitch.

Anyone been to Killarney in anything this size? Are the smaller sites actually large enough for a mid-size TT?

Killarney was built at a time when camping was done from the back of a station wagon using canvas tents and Coleman stoves and coolers.

Having said that, I have found that the size recommendations they place on a given site are usually quite conservative. I have put my 32' motorhome into numerous sites that were only recommended for units up to 24'.

Thanks, so buyer beware on this one. I'll assume that this is a busy PP and the book 5 months in advance, to the minute, is the rule to get a site there.

I just backpacked Killarney a few weeks ago. The park is absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit.

The campground is old, the roads are narrow and the sites are generally shallow but well separated. When booking this one, it'd be best to follow the site dimensions and trailer maximums provided by OP.

We visited a couple of years ago on a day trip. We drove and walked around the park to look at the sites, In CG "A" site 10,31 will accept a trailer to 32 feet. CG "B&C 52,50.58 will accept a large trailer as well. Most of the sites are close together and roads are narrow but passible with the trailer you are towing. Book early as Killarney is popular.

I would call the park directly and ask. We used to camp frequently at Killarney, but always had backpacking tents so I didn't pay much attention to site sizes.
