I'm new to RVing and many have suggested purchasing a GPS specific to RVs. Any experiences and suggestions, especially one that allows you to enter vehicle height and route you around such obstacles as well and around tunnels that do not allow propane. I was looking at the RVND™ 7730 LM GPS, but it got poor reviews on Amazon. Granted it was only 13 people. Anyone else have experience with this or other GPS units that they like?

I have used the Garmin 760LMT for the past year with good results. I will say that the RV routing on occasion has wanted to take us miles out of the way when the auto routing was shorter with no low bridge or other issues. I'm pretty sure that no GPS has data on propane restricted tunnels.It always pays to watch the roadway signs anyway, as GPS mapping data is usually a year or so out of date.

Ours is a regular Garmin and it has never put us anyplace that we did not want to go. Just for a further FYI, the MT search and rescue people all use Garmin, the others are not accurate enough.

I use a combination of a 7" Magellan, Google Nav on my Droid Tablet and A Truckers Atlas. Nothing is more accurate than the Truckers Atlas which highlights routes a Semi can drive and lists by State and route any low clearances. I bought the Magellan because it is very user friendly and I already had good luck with smaller Magellans in my cars. I would not rely on any GPS brand by its self for trip routing. I review my planned route the night before using the atlas and droid and then confirm that the GPS is following the same route just before departing in the morning. GPS works fine for major roads but is less dependable for local roads.

I have used the Rand RV GPS for almost 18 months and over 35,000 towing without too many issues. I will caution you that all low overpasses are not entered into the database.

I run two GPS units on my dash when towing, mainly because I program one for fuel destinations. I also consult my Trucker's Atlas the night before. It only takes a couple of minutes to check the next days route to make sure there are no issues and if you purchase a Trucker's Atlas every couple of years you will have all the current information you need.

No matter what GPS you are using, never trust them 100%.
