As already mentioned, some the bridges on the Garden State Parkway north of the intersection with the NJ Turnpike are arched but will be OK as long as you stay out of the far right lane. That said, I suggest that you get off the NJ Turnpike at exit 10 and take I287 to avoid the narrow toll booths (and tolls) on the Parkway. You will then join the NY Turnpike near Suffern NY and continue north to Newburgh. No need to cross the Tappan Zee Bridge, as Newburgh is on the west side of the Hudson River.
