Definitely planning to head south. Maybe through NC/SC to visit some friends, maybe all the way into FL. How full do the campgrounds get? Can you do it without reservations?

Many snowbirders leave their home for Florida right after Christmas. Also, after Christmas is usually the school break time. If your travels are before Christmas I think you'd find spots without reservations - except at Disney World. ๐Ÿ™‚

Depending on the length of time at each stop; you can probably get by without reservations north of Florida. In Florida reservations are a must for anything longer than overnight.

probably can but the cg's if commercial may need some reservations I would think since all the geese fly south around that time if not already there.

If going thru bigger towns, I would at least check for availability and make a decision then.
