Satisfied Frog Dining Experience- Rocky Point

Went there tonight and I have to say that this was the worst meal I have ever had in PP. There was a group of 10 and we ordered pizza and the ribs. The beef ribs were very short, had a good flavor but not really smoked, just a lot of sauce. The pizzas came out in a hap hazard fashion and they were either burned on the bottom or not done at all. The margaritas were small and did not taste like any margarita I have ever had. The music speakers sit on the floor right in front of dining tables making it impossible to converse at your table. As a former restaurant owner in Cave Creek, the owner needs to go back to the drawing board and come up with a good menu rather than loud music and mediocre food. We will not be going back and if things don't change, the frog will not be there next year. It is a good location but everything else ruined the dining experience.

I'm just thinking of Moishe's comment - inconsistent. The next review could be a rave. Personally, I think reviews of tourist-oriented restaurants are pointless for that reason. IMHO it could just be the waiter/cook combo that was on shift. We've had excellent meals at a badly rated places and crappy food at places people rave about - esta la vida ! - RYV

Am I the only one that appreciates the report? Bad food or service should be reported as should good food or service.

Thank you.

Maybe you need to look at the opinions on the rocky point forums.

I only write up a bad review when it is deserved and in this case it was totally deserved. Sorry, I don't like burnt pizza dough or crummy drinks, especially at those prices.

I enjoy the food off of the road side trucks much more

Ain't it a hoot when you hear about someone complaining about "Pepe's Surf And Turf" in some gringo hotpot.....

I will be damned if I could find a decent plate of Chilaquiles in Turin, Italy. Go figure!

And, the same applies to San Antonio Texas. But, it's not a problem for me because I happen to know how to cook very good Mexican food.

If you go south along the river in Turin, There is a mall that has a mexican resturant and broasted chicken. Turin is truly an international city.

We have had excellent meals at Ramon's, the Point and the Italian Restaurant @ The Reef. Unfortunately many Tourist restaurants in Mexico are not consistent.

Sounds like Chef Ramsey needs to pay them a visit!
