Short term vehicle insurance for Mexico

I'm new to the RV world. Hope to cross the border and get into San Carlos for one week . It's about a 5hr drive.
Heard vehicle insurance only available on a monthly basis? If so, might be quite expensive for one week. So alternative to park & fly from Phoenix.

Comments? Info on rates for a week?
Thanks!
  • Going to Puerto Penasco in Nov last year, I bought a three-day policy in Ajo with ANA Seguros. The cost was $54.11 premium, $18.00 fee, and $7.93 tax totaling $80.04. This covered a $25,000 tow vehicle and $8000 TT.
  • I use Mex Pro - Sanborn's for me the first time was very expensive.
  • Thanks for the info.. encouraging.. I will start my homework!
  • I purchase insurance by the day when we go to Tijuana, Rosarito or Ensenada.
When we go for longer time futher South I purchase a Year it is cheaper that way rather than the six month policy.

    Have fun and enjoy

  • Available by the day! We use Lewis & Lewis which can be purchased online. Can also be purchased in AJO, AZ. at multiple locations. Beware some Insurance Policies require 24 hours before being enforce. No matter where you purchase, make sure you have a complete copy of the policy in Spanish & your native language. Good luck and have lots of fun!
