dont know why they are using this route for ALL vehicles as the secondary road @ MM 291 is only restricted to 30000 lbs. Big rigs could go on the south and everyone else on the 2 lane just north of the I10 closure for the bridge repair/install? once at mustang corners the by pass is down to 2 lanes also!

Depending on your final destination and origin this morning, you could use US 70 or 191 to get to Phoenix. At RV speeds it would likely be close to the same time as using I-10 and save a few miles to boot.
