Winter in Osoyoos, B.C.

I do know folk that have done it just south in the US, a little rough. Much easier in the lower-mainland or southern Vancouver Island.

And a second vote for skirting. It sure won't hurt anything and it can only add to your comfort levels.

Have only camped in Osoyoos in the summer. However when we were there we looked at the long term/winter spots at Nk Mip http://www.campingosoyoos.com/. The sites are beautiful and have hedges between each one which would help with wind.

But having said that here on Vancouver Island, where are winter weather is even milder than Osoyoos, long term winter rvers, usually skirt their RV. http://www.oceansideresortrv.com/

I have never spent the winter Osoyoos but being on Vancouver Island in BC where it can get cold and snowy occassionally plus knowing how most TT are built I would say yes please skirt your TT. Also buy
a heated water hose for your water. You might want to come further west for milder weather. Good luck.

Thank you for your info and we know it does not get really like in Alberta where we are but as asked,should we skirt the unit. It is belly wrapped and heated but just wondering. We were going south but because of health issues cannot do it this year so would like all the help we can get. Thank you

Howdy. We live not too far from there. I guess the answer will depend on what kind of trailer you have. Osoyoos is certainly not a cold place in the winter but like anywhere in the Okanagan can have extended cold snaps. Overnight freezing is common all winter but minus 10 to 15 can be a reality once in awhile. Generally winters are mild, short and not too snowy.

You know..I don't even know of any RV parks in the area that are open during the winter. There are some in Penticton and Okanagan Falls.
