Another Nat Forest campground WA state!!!

Here is another great NF site that looks to be lightly used most of the time. We were there in early June after Mem day, and were the only ones in the campground for 4 nights!!

Beth Lake: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/okawen/recarea/?recid=59535

Sites are mostly med length, with one or two that can take larger rigs. We are 34ft oal, and fit into our pick nicely. Lots of huckleberry bushes for later in the season, and many wild rose bushes that were just starting to bloom. Would have been very pretty a week or two later!!

There is another campground (Beaver Lake) close by, but it was "flooded" due to the high runoff this spring. Water aboot a foot deep coming out of the entry road!! Blocked off when we were there.

If you take FR32 from the Bonaparte Lake Road, be prepared for a 2-3 mile very steep, curvy, one lane, rough and potholed paved downhill!! Better way in is via Chesaw Road (9480), paved, smooth and much easier!!

  • Thank you, Tucquala. Do you have any other recommendations?
  • Beautiful area. We have camped there a number of times. Always lots of room.
  • Another camp ground we like is the NFS camp at Loup Loup Pass 1/4 mile off Route 20 between Okanogon and Twisp, easy in on a paved road, and plenty room in each site for our 40' Newmar. No hookups, water at several faucets along the main camp road.

    Until now!

Keep going and every place will be only accessible by reserve America, more rules and more people.

But being your there, check out the old school in Molson, grandkids thought it was great.
