- HorsedocExplorer IISD Badlands can and do get HOT, even in June. That said, it cools off pretty quickly and can be pleasant in early evening and night. Scenery is nice, but we grew tired after a day or so. Green is so much nicer.

The northern unit is worth a visit too. We spent several days at both units. What a difference of terrain between the two. Very early in the morning is a great time to spot various wildlife.kohldad wrote:

The southern unit of the Theodore Roosevelt NP in North Dakota is called the Badlands. Well worth a visit. It's not overrun with tourists.
Agree. For a person going to that area they need to see both. There's never been crowds when we've been there.- EV2Explorer

The best place I've found so far to give daily average temps is US Climate Data.
Closest town I could find to Badlands NP was Rapid City, SD but should be pretty close. You can click on the "DAILY" tab and then choose your month.
OP said Badlands ND, not Badlands NP. The closest town is Medora, ND which is far north of Rapid City, SD
Badlands, ND - 3oaksExplorer
