Boomtown RV Park Biloxi, MS

We're booked to stay here from Christmas Day through the Tuesday after, headed to New Orleans from there. I've looked up some reviews on the place but only found 2, anyone have comments on the place?
  • Suggest taking a look at it on Google Maps or Earth. Should give you a good look at it and what it looks like. From above and/or street view.
  • Having stayed at the casino in past years , I can say it is a converted parking lot across from casino. It's not a bad place for short stays. Not sure what your daily rate is, but when it was announced that it was open, the rate was $40/nite.
  • I didn't know it was there so I googled the park. Looks considerably better than a converted parking lot and the price per night, with players club card, appears to be $29. The pic on the site as well as the layout look as good as the non-casino affiliated private parks in Biloxi. FWIW
  • Seems like it has been improved a lotrecetly, and after the Google pictures were taken/
  • It only opened in August so you can't rely on Google Maps for an accurate look. I also didn't see any reviews since August. There is another Boomtown RV park in another state. Be sure you aren't reading those reviews. The location is great. Please post a review after your stay.
  • I used google earth and saw a parking lot, I realize that what it was before. Being that we're only staying for 4 nights it can possibly be that bad. The total with tax and Good Sam was $112.43

We were in Biloxi end of September,it had opened and then closed for a month due to road construction..they just did the east end of Biloxi over, new streets, water lines, etc
now the rv park, we drove thru it and it is an up scale rv park..more room than most in Biloxi, looked like all back ins..full hookups.....grass...have a great time...Chuck
  • Well after a long and stormy trip from VA we made it to the Boomtown RV park here in Biloxi, Mississippi. First word of caution, do not, I repeat DO NOT head north on Main St. from route 90. The road is terrible, you almost need 4WD to make it. There's a steep railroad crossing that might bottom out some campers. Come off I-110 and it's a better, though not much option to get into the campground.

Pull into the park, gate wide open and no one at what appears to be a watch tower attendant booth. Call the 800 number on our reservation and spoke with a very pleasant CS rep named Debbie. She took some information and asked if there was a site we liked, at the time we hadn't scoped the park out yet so I said "no". She assigned us a spot and said if we didn't like it to call her back with one we liked and she'd switch us. Found our site and didn't think it was a proper fit, found one we liked, called back and we were switched just like that.

This is a no frills RV park, everything is new and seems to be in working order. There's no bath house, no store and no place for the kiddies to swing all of which is fine with me. The WI-FI works great and the cable TV gets 48 channels of which how many come in I don't know yet.

For the excellent rate of $29.00 a night you get a level pad with full hookups and plenty of room to park whatever else you brought with you. The pads are somewhat small, there's a 45' bus behind me and he parked with no issues.

Since I've been typing this security has drove through a half dozen times or so.

A casino is a casino to me as I don't gamble much. We choose this place based on location and the not so good reviews of other places in the area, not to mention the price. There's a shuttle that will pick you up at your camper and bring you to the casino, it's a 5 minute walk! The road is bad and the lack of a sidewalk is worse but we managed two trips over there today with no issues.

We just finished eating at the casino buffet and let me tell you it's to die for and that's what I'm about to do, DIE! Everything I ate was wonderful.

I've gone on long enough, got a question about the place leave a comment I'll try and help out.

    Merry Christmas to all
  • Marc71 - appreciate your post & follow-up. My son's stationed at Kessler. Last visit, we stayed at Majestic Oaks. Nice, but very tight quarters. We're hoping to make it out this year from So Cal. We will definitely give Boomtown a try. Thanks again!
