camping around panacea FL area?

we're headed that way this am..to jack wingate..and see this seminole is just across the lake...
so good that you told us about this one..for the state parks website..don't say how long the stay can be...unless we call each one.
gives us an alternative ..

we're looking at this Bainbridge area now..as we'll stick around if we like it..thru February..we're gonna try jack wingate rv / fishing campground...starting this Monday.
we love state parks...just wish they allowed long stays.

There is a park on US 98 in Panacea/Ochlockonee Bay right at the bridge called Holiday......(something). We stay at Ochlockonee River State Park and go there to fill up our propane. It looks nice.lizzie

Bainbridge has a state park near by. I also stayed at holiday campground, it is nice with clean bathrooms, wifi, but about 40 dollars a day. Like other posters have said there is two rv resort parks, but you said you did not want resort types, so you can look at St. George Island, or St. Joseph state parks.

We stayed a week last winter and would return if in the area. We weren't impressed with Ho Hum, which is just a gravel parking lot.

I should have said the view is of beautiful St George Sound...4 mile across is St George Island.

The bath/showers in the Resort park are the nicest you will see in any RV park.

there is a park right in Panacea but I cannot remember the name...looks nice going by
