- winnimanExplorer IIState fair grounds are a good option that can be inexpensive. We stayed at a few, including the State Fairgrounds in Raleigh North Carolina. It is a very big complex. There was a dog show on when we were there. We stayed to go to a hockey game. It was walking distance to the arena stadium.

- joelcExplorer IIIYou are not saying what part of NC you are planning to visit. Try a State Park or National Park. We are near Emerald Isle and the cheapest here is Croatan National Camp ground in Cape Carteret. But it is over $25.
