Darn Vacation Month Change!

Well we had plans to go to south Utah last 2 weeks of April and now DH can't take vacation until first 2 weeks in June! Sure hope weather's not too hot. Good thing is I think on way back home we will do a few days at Rocky Mountain National Park! Again I want to thank everyone from my previous post that helped us plan our vacation!!! So nice and so appreciated!!! Thanks again Tara :)
  • First 2 weeks of June will be warmer, but often it is manageable. Just modify your plans to hit the higher elevations. Zion might be hot (but you could get lucky with a cool spell), however a walk up the Narrows would be nice and cool with the towering stone walls all around you. Bryce Canyon rim is about 8000'. Cedar Breaks Natl Monument is over 10,000' and should be cool. Panguitch Lake is 8000'. Boulder Mountain has some scenic boondock spots near the top. The Grand Canyon north rim is 8000' too.
  • One of the things I hate about my job is vacation planning. We don't pick our vacation time until December for the next year. There can only be 2 people off at the same time and they do it by seniority. So, when you have about 20 people in the mix, it can get dicey. Especially the lower to the bottom of the seniority list ...lol The last couple of years, I just went ahead and decided on a time and made reservations. Then if I needed to cancel, then I'm not out very much....
