For the first time ever, I left our 5er in Florida when we left last spring. It's in central FL away from the beaches thankfully. Fingers crossed.

Best of luck to you with it. Hopefully just being buttoned up, you'll be fine. I know it has to be stressful, though.

It's never leaked before but it's never been in rain driven by 100mph winds either. Of course at 100mph I should be more worried about it getting blown away.

Keeping my fingers crossed that your 5th wheel will be fine! I'm watching closely too. We are planning on being snowbirds for the first time in Mims, FL (Near Titusville). As of right now, Dorian looks to be aiming right at that area. It would just be my luck that the resort will be leveled and our plans will be ruined.

Word of advice, if the storage lot is low critters seek high ground. Keep and eye out that first week of living in it.

The 5er is sitting on the RV park lot that we have rented 6 & 6. It's higher than the surrounding area but there's a little bit higher ground that might back up water in an extended torrential downpour. Hope not.I ride through Mims from time to time on my way out to Merritt Island Wildlife Reserve.

Wonder if anyone asked them what nonUSA guests should use instead of SSN.

Over the years I’ve found out that some FT residents in (FL) snowbird parks had a very full life, but not a lot of savings at the end of their travels. Thinking they may be unable to afford the cost of evacuation even with free shelter living. Wonder if the owners of the park think about that when they send out emails about IDing bodies. Like there isn’t enough stress given the situation.

We've done 6&6 as an experiment for a year or two. In our former park in Texas, the 6&6 crowd had to tie down their rigs. I'm guessing if we switch to 6&6 permanently, we'll probably sell our toyhauler and buy a park model.

The RV park is doing a sweep of the park and disposing of everything that might become a projectile. Our small grill is under our rig - might need to replace that. If that's our only loss I will be truly happy.

If you are 6&6 with insurance you might want to look into strapping the rig down in the future. 75mph shouldn’t be an issue. Other then flying objects.
