What's the best campground for Duluth, MN?

We LOVE Lakehead Boat Basin Marina in Park Point. It's literally just a parking lot, but you have room on your "site" for carpet and chairs and picnic table. There are nice brand new restrooms and showers. But the best part is that you are just a few blocks from Canal Park. And you can watch the ships go under the bridge and right by your campsite!

If you are willing to be as far away as Two Harbors or Cloquet, you might also consider Jay Cooke State Park. If, however, you are looking for full hook-ups, Jay Cooke won't meet your needs. We have never stayed at Indian Point in Duluth, but it has been recommended to us by friends who have stayed there. Have never stayed at Burlington Bay either, but it does look nice enough. There is also one just south of Duluth called Buffalo Valley. Friends have enjoyed their stay there.

Within Duluth: Indian Point; Spirit Mountain (beautiful overlook of the city and Lake Superior, but not from the campground)
Near Duluth: Burlington Bay on L. Superior in Two Harbors -30 miles away; Koa in Cloquet, -19 miles away; Spafford Park in Cloquet-20 miles

My recommendation - spirit man in Duluth or Burlington Bay in Two Harbors

Indian Peak is pretty nice, right on the water.
