Has anyone stayed at the Roadrunner RV east of downtown El Paso? Their website shows that they are a Good Sam facility, but the Good Sam website does not include them when I did a Search. Also, does anyone have a recommendation for an RV park in that area? Thanks.

I am Active Army and lived in my camper for a year while I was going to school at Ft Bliss. I stayed at the Ft Bliss RV Park for the year. Great park with clean amenities, dog walking area with grass, and they are across from a shopette/ gas station. The down side for many is you have to be serving, retired, or a disabled vet to stay there. As previously stated El Paso is a safe place. Most people there are very friendly and there a few things to do if you need a break from the road for a few days. I would encourage any military folks to stay at the Ft Bliss Park and take a tour of Ft Bliss, it a very nice post.

we have stayed here many times. they just became a KOA but there aren't many amenities, they just added picnic tables and they do have laundry and decent wifi.

Its called American RV park.

Totally unnecessary to be so fearful.

Read this: El Paso - Safe

El Paso is ranked the safest large city in the U.S. for four consecutive years and ranked in the top three since 1997.

How's your BIG city compare?

Here is what I did: There is a KOA in Van Horn for about $38-40/night. I'd either go for that one, or skip El Paso altogether and head to Las Cruces and find a decent RV park there.

Things change though. I can read RV park reviews and tell if a park is not being maintained, or if a park has been cleaned up, perhaps under new management.

Hello JC435 - you are correct, El Paso Roadrunner RV Park is not a Good Sam Park and is privately owned. This park is listed in the directory and online as an alternative place to stay if you are in the area, but this campground does not carry the Good Sam Park logo.

We appreciate you letting us know that they are displaying a Good Sam logo on their website. Weโ€™ll be in contact with them regarding this.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for your post.

If I must overnight in the El Paso area, I stay at El Paso West RV Park, which is actually just across the New Mexico border in Anthony.

Hello there, I live in El Paso. Although I've never stayed in an RV park here in El Paso, the Mission RV stated above is probably the best looking in the City. Currently there is major freeway construction 24hrs a day really near the intersection of I-10 and Loop 375 where Mission RV is located. You might want to ask them how that is affecting them. If not, I would suggest staying in Las Cruces about 40 miles west of us.

When I first started RVing some years ago I used to frequent Roadrunner quite often for parts, but never felt welcome. I stopped giving them my business long ago. Anyway, their lot always seems to have RVs there.

El Paso is more of a hotel city with plenty nice/inexpensive hotels to choose from right off the I-10 corridor. If staying in El Paso and like Mexican food, try the local and -real- Mexican eateries we have. We have 100s if not 1000s of real Mexican food restaurants and many are the same as found across the border.

Enjoy

In all our years travelling through El Paso, we haven't found a place we liked in the city. We usually stay at the Hacienda RV Resort in Las Cruces for overnight stops. The Roadrunner RV Park does not fare very well on rvparkreviews.com.
