This is in Burleson. - kevinbtiExplorerMaybe to far depending where you start in dallas but we enjoy this place http://www.texomashoresrvpark.com/
- TexasOkieExplorerI've never stayed there, have only seen it in passing by on I-35 I think south of Burleson (South of Fort Worth) there is an RV park with a water park and other kid friendly attractions attached. I think it is now a Jellystone park. It is on the east side of I-35 and should have cabins as well as spots for RV's. You might look it up in the RV Park Reviews website for additional information.
- hermyExplorerWe recently stayed at the Vineyards rv park in Grapevine. Very nice area with a lake and a pavilion. I'm not sure about rental cabins but it would be worth checking it out.
- hermyExplorerJust went on the Vineyards website- and yes, they do have cabins, playgrounds etc. That would be perfect!
- patperry2766Explorer IICamp Jellystone in Burleson should be the hands down favorite since kids are included in the equation...and you would look like a hero. (But they also have them in Fredericksburg & Canyon Lake if y'all insist on getting out of DFW.
As a bonus, there is a Babe's Chicken in Burleson....mmmmmmmmmmm, yummy!!
If you want to get out of Texas, you could always consider the Hot Springs area. There are several really nice campgrounds in the area. I am most familiar with Lake Catherine State Park because we stayed there last summer and had a great time, but alot of people have really positive comments about Lake Ouachita, Lake Dardanelle & Petit Jean State Park - sdianel_-acct_cExplorerIf you don't mind a longer drive (4 hours) Hot Springs Arkansas has a couple of good choices: Lake Catherine State Park, Catherine's Landing RV Park & Cabins.
- 3wheelExplorerWe had a similar problem finding a place that fit the needs of the whole extended family.
Try Beavers Bend State Park in south east Oklahoma. It is about 3 hours from Dallas area.
Has cabins, a lodge and of course RV sites. Hiking, fishing, a small train for the kids to ride, swimming area (not a pool), mini golf and more..... - Pop-Pop_CExplorerX2 on the Vineyards. That I our home base when we are in town DFW.
GREAT RV sites and cabins.
