Our favorite resource is The Ultimate Public Campground Project. It focuses on just one thing, public camping locations and nothing else. As a result of that focus, it has thousands of locations that other all-purpose sites and apps do not include - over 28,000 in US (including Alaska) and Canada.
Although it doesn't include commercial locations, many of its listings are for full-service public campgrounds.
