- sgrizzleExplorerWe camped there 3 years ago with a 29 BHS (33 1/2' hitch to bumper) with no problem. Loved the campground. I would try calling the station and ask, we did that when we went to Yellowstone last year...we were concerned about our length...we called, they said no problem in a lot of their sites, even though the web-site said otherwise.
- TenOCNomadI park my 33 foot TT (65 feet over all) at Site # 185 without any problem. While it was a few years ago, I think there are a number of sites that will take big rigs. The location is "ideal" a short walk to the bus stop to ride free to see all the park.
- 2gypsies1Explorer IIIOP: It would be unwise to try to get your 35' into Mather campground.
Use Trailer Villlage instead.
Golden HVAC: A correction needs to be made on your post.
Trailer Village is inside the park near the Rim. It has full hookups and is a great convenient place to stay for touring the canyon.
Camper Village is just outside the park in Tusayan and that's where the I-Max is. - Golden_HVACExplorerIf you don't get any good answers, one solution is to stay at the Trailer Village near the park entrance, and then explore the area in a car, and check out the campgrounds for yourself. It also has the side benefit of allowing you a close place to get water and dump before entering the park.
Across the road from Trailer Village is a large screen I-Max theater. It has wonderful pictures of several National Parks.
