Help findhing a nice park Phoenix area, not age restricted.

I'm having a difficult time finding a place in Phoenix to camp for Christmas, that isn't age limited to 55 and over. Don't really want to stay in a trailer park without some good references. The Wife's family is in the Mesa area. So that side of town would be ideal.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Correct if just looking for the park's map. However if wanting to find specifics of a campsite itself, only way I know is to go into reservations.

Then I saw the post about Maricopa County parks. Looked on their website at Usery Mountain. Could find very little info about how many sites, what size the sites are, etc. RVPARKREVIEWS has better info.
Arrgh..frustrating.

I had no problem. Just had to select a date and a campsite #. Even has a pic of the site.

Just venting and not wanting to hijack, but...I'm kicking around a trip to the Superstition Mts. in the area. I thought about Lost Dutchman State Park or dry camping near Lake Roosevelt. Then I saw the post about Maricopa County parks. Looked on their website at Usery Mountain. Could find very little info about how many sites, what size the sites are, etc. RVPARKREVIEWS has better info.

Try WestWorld on N 101 or McDowell Mountain Maricopa County Park, Fountain Hills.

Thanks for the suggestions.

We're in our early 40's, we'll have 2 teenage boys with us also.

I've search GS, RV park reviews. Everything I'm finding is age restricted or a trailer park. We don't plan on being at the trailer but in the evenings. Her family is in West Mesa that's why Lost Dutchman wasn't considered. I love that area. Lived in Apache Junction for a couple of years in the late 90's.

I'll try calling some of the parks.

Again, Thanks.

Have you tried RVParkreviews.com? Just click on the state and town and it gives loads of information. Just remember to take any complaint with a grain of salt.

I'd highly recommend Lost Dutchman State Park in a beautiful setting and right on Hwy 60. They have dry camping spots up to full hookups. Reserve now. It's very popular.

Another great option are any of the Maricopa County parks. They, too, are in beautiful settings and have electric and water and a dump station. The 'Usery' one would be convenient to Mesa.

I have stayed at Destiny. The sites are small and you are very close to your neighbors. Not many activities other than a pool. Not my first choice. I liked the RV park across the street, Cotton Lane. Sites are large with a small golf course, pool.

Use your internet on "GS RV parks or the GS Directory" and start searching. As you probably know, Dec. is in the high season for Snow Birders so you need to make reservations as soon as possible!!
