- past-MIdirectorExplorerWhich coast and how far south do you want to travel?
- Bill___KateExplorerThere are dozens, if not hundreds, of snowbird RV Parks in Florida. Which one you picks depends on what you like to do. The first year I would book 2 - 4 weeks in each of several different parks in different parts of the state to get an idea what really suits your particular situation. Generally speaking, the further south, and closer to the water you get, the more they cost.
I am sure you will get many good suggestions here - pick a few and go for it! - jeb5ExplorerRiversidervresort.com

This park has more activities than any other park in Florida. Many from Maryland in this park. Also check the comments on rvparkreviews.com for any park.
Riverside has an Arcadia address, but is only 4 miles from Port Charlotte, Florida. - fla-gypsyExplorerDepends on how far into the rat race you want to go. If you are looking for peace and quiet look from Ocala northward and stay away from large metro areas, if you want to get into the snowbird game, Orlando and southward.
- Jack_Diane_FreeExplorerWhat ever you decide make your reservation now or you will be disappointed.
- RoyBExplorer IIMy sister and her bubby always go to the Cyrstal River area every year from Illinois in their 5th Wheel Montana camper from January to April. Its just a normal camp ground with hookups..
The perfect spot for them and they have been doing it for years... This is on the Gulf side north of Tampa.
Roy ken - Janet_SchultzExplorerThank you all so much for advice. We would like to stay south of Orlando. We don't play golf, so no issue there. Like to ride bikes, walk. Not big on the crowded City , but still want a park that offers planned things to do as group. Like water aerobics or craft things Thanks again

- HappyKayakersExplorerHow about here?
- dukenurseExplorerIf you want to stay at any state park you need to make reservation now. I have been trying for the last month to get a reservation in the Keys for February 2015, for the last month, with no luck. The state has some beautiful parks with full hook ups.
