- exgmanExplorerYellowstone Holiday is right on the shore of Hebgen Lake in West Yellowstone. Nice park and nice views. My favorite is Madison Arm resort, also on Hebgen. Been going there for 18 years but finally gave it up last year. The 5 miles of Forest Service road got to be too much. The FS doesn't maintain it very well anymore and it just got too rough.

- 2lazy4UExplorerOne of my all time fav camps is Westshore State Park about 5 miles out of Lakeside by Flathead Lake. In fact, I was just there and enjoyed it a lot. Very quiet, no mosquitoes, and close to everything.
- bobsallyhExplorer IISwan Lake, Forest Service cg on MT. 83 out of Big Fork. Thompson Chain of Lakes on US 2 west of Kalispell, several cgs there. Numerous cgs on Lake Koocanoosa off US 2 on MT 3 out of Libby. Several along MT 200 coming from Idaho towards US 93. Also some along RT 56 between US 2 and Rt 200.
- ol__yellerExplorer IIWe stayed at the KOA at Flathead Lake. The views were terrific and the campground clean and very nice.

this link might help. We drove around Flathead Lake and didn't stay there. We did check out Flathead Lake State Park which is nice but the sites are so close together with no private space. Big Arm State Park is nice but the sites are small. Perfect for tents or small pop ups.
