Late Opening - Pawnee Campground CO

For anyone who may want to take in the Brainard Lake/Indian Peaks Wilderness/Pawnee Campground area just west of Ward CO, the Brainard Lake Road is closed at CO 72 for construction. A 2.5 mile section of the roadway is being completely rebuilt. Was up in the area last weekend, the road and campground are not expected to open until the last week of July 2018. Given that the season up there is regularly a short season, sounds like the season for Pawnee CG will only be 4-5 weeks. Hoping to get in there the first week of August.
