looking for a camp ground in eastern N. Carolina for winter

Hi all, Plans have changed for me up here in PA, and I will be able to go south for a while this winter for the first time. I'm looking for a place from dec 1st to end of feb this winter...possibly all season if the place is right. Anyone have any recommendations? I'll be in a Chevy pickup puling a 30ft Holiday Rambler TT. No pets. just me lol
  • My parents used to keep a spot at Tanters Creek Campground. Nice area, near Washington NC, nice local shops and food.

Excellent recommendation. Right off I-95 and very close to I-40.
  • If Kinston is a possibility, there is a county RV Park on the Neuse River that is very reasonable.

  • Assuming you are a GoodSam member go to GoodSam.com, using the drop down menu on the top right select campgrounds, scroll down to get to snowbirds, click on learn more, search North Carolina by region. I found many offering monthly rates, etc.
  • Don’t know about the whole season, but maybe. Try looking in to Green Acres in Washington, NC. I know that people are there long term. It is a small, family owned place that we love.
