Looking for campgrounds near Charleston, WV

Going to Charleston, WV in July for a church mission trip. We have a 40 ft. fifth wheel and need to find a full hook-up campground close to Charleston.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Another vote for the Huntington/Foxfire KOA (in Milton). We have stayed there many times....excellent CG with extremely nice owners. The CG is less than a half hour from Charleston, and is also just a few minutes from the Barboursville/Huntington Mall area (plenty of shopping, restaurants, etc..)

BTW, we have also stayed at Rippling Waters CG, and had a very nice stay there. The lake and chapel are beautiful. We stayed in the row of paved, back-in sites by the shower house while there.

Rippling Waters Campground has sites that will work for you. It is a church owned campground, Church of God I believe, but has sites with full hook-up for daily or longer rental. These sites are level and pull through. They are about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. I recommend reservations.304-988 2607. It is about 10 minutes from my house.

I'm originally from Charley West and still have relatives there. There isn't anything in or around Charleston that will accommodate your rig. My best recommendation is to go about 30 mi west to the town of Milton. There is a KOA there that will take you.
