Looking for Colorado RV Parks

I use to use RV Park Reviews to find parks in areas I was not familiar with, but they have changed. My guess is they are now charging the individual parks to be on their site. They will show that there is 5 parks in a town, but only list and give info on one. It used to be a good tool, but not worth a **** now.

Is there another web site out there like the old RV Park Reviews? I am looking for parks along the Colorado Trail that can accommodate a 38' 5th wheel.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Come on, Marv, tell us how you REALLY feel! ๐Ÿ™‚

I have used RV Park Reviews as one of my criteria for many years. I have never felt as the OP does. BTW, when I see a lot of reviews I discount those more than 2 years old and then toss out the high and low; or give then less value or something.

My other source is right here. This is a great place for - mostly - good info. You soon learn those whose input is good and honest. And those who mostly rant. And the greatest portion in the middle of all that.

See some of my buddies on here.

I suggest you spend a little more time learning how to use the current RV Park reviews web site, instead of an unnecessary rant.

Are you putting in a town, state, and distance, in the search boxes at the top? I just put in my town and got 2 pages worth, from 1 star to 5. Click on the green search button first and you'll get the more in depth search boxes.

To me, the new version of RV Park Reviews still acts the same. I'm not sure why you're only seeing one listed.

No, the parks don't pay to be on their site.

Give an example of what the problem is and perhaps we can help.

Regarding RV Park Reviews, the current version, I've found that, if a park is not listed, one can add a park in. There's no requirement that the park has to make any sort of payment to anyone, for a member of public users to post a review. I've posted a review of a park that was not previously listed for a specific locale.

I also have and use the Woodalls printed catalog of all RV parks and campgrounds; I have the 2013 version of it, and it does list many obscure little campgrounds, including USFS and the like. Most of these type listings are not rated, but they are listed, with basic information.

Another suggestion: simply ask here! There's lots of us folks here in Colorado that would be happy to make some suggestions for you. Just let us know specifically what town/area you're looking at (the Colorado Trail runs nearly 500 miles, so if you can pinpoint what access point you're looking for), and I'm sure someone here has been there/done that!
