- trskyExplorerYou can checkout" My Old Kentucky Home State Park" in Bardstown. It depends on your plans. Are you going to spend time at the campground or just needing a place to stay. Taylorsville SP isn't bad.
- lenrExplorer IIIX2 on Grandma's. We have stopped there several times one the first night out of a southern trip from Indy. Don't know about the bathhouse as we just use our own facilities in the camper with the full hookup. I suspect the vast majority of their business in over night on the road, but it is nice and clean; and, plenty adequate if the real business is up in Louisville.
- kydaleExplorerGrandma's.
- Rangerman40ExplorerThere's a KOA in Sheperdsvillle (25min south)

We're at Charlestown SP across the river. It has some FHU sites and while there's hardly any vegetation between sites the FHU sites are rather wide. The w/e sites are smaller and just in a row. It's nice and very well-maintained.
BTW, Addmore doesn't accept RVs more than 15 years old.
I'll second Charleston, very nice Park. - ct1964upsExplorer

Hi We stayed at a C/G, called Whispering Hill RV. Park, it's in Georgetown KY. About 45 min. to an hour out of Louisville. Nice park good size lots. They also have a Camping World store near by. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!
Absolutely...found it by mistake but quite the gem..Chuck - jnharleyExplorerWe stop Grandma's RV Park in Shepherdsville just south of Louisville. It is easy on/off the interstate, near shopping and fuel (one exit north), and adequate for our needs. The sites are close together and they do have some long term Rvers but their sites are well kept. The rules are enforced in this campground so some people do not like that. An example, if you have a pet, you cannot allow it to pee on the landscaping. There is a nice place to walk pets. We stop there multiple times a year and have never had an issue but others report that they have had a run in with Grandpa. It is not a destination type campground if that is what you are looking for but ok for a night or two.
- melandmeExplorerYou may want to look at Taylorsville Lake State Park. 30 minutes to the east end of Jefferson county and 45 minutes to downtown. $25 a night. Very large sites in a very rural setting. Close to Bardstown, My Old KY Home and the bourbon trail.
