- RinconVTRExplorerStayed at Jellystone Mammoth Cave last year for 4 nights. Our kids really enjoyed the evenings there. The pools and other "things to do" were extensive. It was a very large campground, but never felt crowded.

Why not stay in the park itself for the best experience? Do you really need hookups?

- AllworthExplorer IIWe stayed at Diamond Caverns on a Coast to Coast membership.
More than acceptable for three nights. The dog liked it. - TripalotExplorerSinging Hills CG. is a Passport America park and OK for a night or 2.
The washrooms are not the best - older - but we always use our own anyway. They have some long pull thru sites if this is important to you. It is just a few miles outside of the N.P. - RVhikerExplorerNolin Lake State Park is quite nice and quiet.

You get into the park by taking the free ferry, more or less like a back dooor to the park. There are no stores or other amenities close to the CG tho.
Great place to stay, just bring everything you need as no shopping nearby. - michigansandzilExplorerWe stayed at the Yogi close by. Our kids were 3, 7, and 9; so it was a good fit for us. We went ziplining across the street from the campground. Very memorable. We enjoyed our stay. I'd go back again.
- ependydadExplorerThe NP was beautiful. Not very big rig friendly (not sure of your setup). And from the sounds of it- dry camping. But, it was beautiful and close to Mammoth Cave itself.
That said, being Thousand Trails members, we stayed just down the street at Diamond Caverns. Decent place- very RV park like but it was sufficient for what we needed (a 5-day stay where friends could pitch a tent behind the rig). We had a good time.
If anyone is considering it, don't waste your time or money at the restaurant at the hotel in Mammoth Cave. It was incredibly slow, terrible service, and crappy food. - atreisExplorerWe stayed at the campground in the park. It's quite nice.
