McKinney Falls State Park (Austin TX)--status?

Anyone been to McKinney Falls State Park, in Austin, TX lately? Official website indicates certain facilities in the park (trails/visitor center/etc.) are closed following a flood over a year ago, and some of the amenities may be converted and/or not be available at any point...

Anyone have recent status update? Is the park a mess? (want to pull the trailer up there first week of June for grand-niece's graduation)

Thanks
  • Although we have never been there before we were there this past weekend. It was a real nice park. Loved the privacy between most of the sites. Saw no storm damage or washouts. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely go there again.
  • The trail to the right of the visitor center along Onion Creek is closed due to erosion. It is a nice trail, which goes to a giant tree and an Indian shelter in the cliff. I'm not sure when it is going to be reopened. The rest of the park and trails are open. When we were there the end of December, tree pruner crews were clearing out branches and dead wood out of the camping area.
  • You can always check You State Park website - call the State Parks and Recreation Department - or call the park.

The link directly to the site says there are still some trails closed.
