- PadlinExplorerNot a heck of a lot of info there Mark, what are you looking for in a campground?
- RoyBExplorer IIWhen we was traveling around that area back in my working years we always stayed at the Lost Dutchman State Park at the foot of the Superstitions there. Some of the bushes there actually give off some shade hehe... Get to listen to the coyotes in the evening as well and super star gazing at night... This area is just the start of getting out of the Valley big lights...
Lots of named RESORTS in Mesa and surrounding points. Some are too high class for us... Search google maps and type in RV CAMPGOUNDs in the search engine...
We like the Apache Trial and the back off-roads things to do there - not much of a city guy and all the hoop-la that goes with that haha... I'd rather wake up to a bonfire on a creekside somewhere each morning...
Formally from the Mount Vernon/Bonnie ILL area and the Rend Lake eat up all of my early 1950s stomping grounds... Still have family living all over the Southern Ill area... I see Henry Illinois is pretty far North of Jefferson County on the Illinois River. Never been there before but have visited Peoria a few times.
