We're at Midway right now, and as expected there is no water at the sites, only at the spigot near the dump station and the four host/work camper sites near the road. As for always full, we made our 7 night reservation last July, and it was difficult then to get dates that fit our January travel schedule. The "Tent Camping Only" sign has been up since we got here last Sunday. They do allow conversion vans and TC's to use the tent area though.
Thanks Dutch, thought I was going crazy.

I talked to one fellow today that is only here for 3 nites, but he has to change sites every day. That was the only way he could get in here for that long. It's a popular place right now! :) - camper_ronExplorer

Thanks for the replies. Like I said I have AT&T phones and I'm going to pick up a hotspot through Verizon before I go to the Everglades.
Here's a photo I shot while at Midway campground in the Everglades.

Yes-- water and 50 amp electric.
Strange there's no mention of site water being added on either their website or in an RV Park Reviews review from last month that specifically mentions the electric only site they were on. I don't doubt that your site had water, Joe, but I'm going in a with full tank anyway, just in case ours does not. Which site were you on? - AquanutExplorerMy AT&T service works fine when I'm passing thru. I travel thru there quite frequently
- JoeHExplorer IIIYes-- water and 50 amp electric.
- Dutch_12078Explorer IIWe were at Midway a couple of years ago, and will be there again in a few days. Our Verizon phones and MiFi worked there, but with very poor signal levels and only 3G data that dropped to 1X at times. For reliable calls, we drove west a few miles to the Visitors Center. This year, we have a WeBoost Drive 4G-M booster on board, so we're hoping for a bit better cell service.
I wasn't aware that water was available at the sites now either...
