They do require a license and you can buy a temp or a yearly. They follow the Georgia Dept of Natural Resources regs at that department's website. A search for "2017 Georgia fishing regulations" will pull up the website.
The campground is located right next to a trout hatchery and there are periodic releases. But they stopped giving out the dates because too many show up and fish it out in two days. It's a very popular fishing spot.
The campground has a fish cleaning hut. There's a boat ramp on the other side of the hatchery. Quiet and small campground, clean, level sites.
Take a trip into Dillard north of the campground and Clayton if you have a chance. Dillard House Restaurant has good food. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School is there where the Foxfire Books were written and published. Fantastic mountain landscapes too. Take your car (not your RV) up to the top of Black Mountain State Park just north of Clayton for great views.
