Norris or Cumberland Lake

Not having many responses concerning Dale Hollow seasonal campsite, I now ask the same concerning Norris Lake area or Lake Cumberland. I'm looking for a seasonal site for next year. I have never been to the area and I am seeking suggestions . I plan to take a Fall trip to the area to look around. ANY help is appreciated .

Thanks !!
  • Ignore my post. I missed that you wanted a seasonal site. I Dale Hollow SP has a 14 day li.it.
  • Not sure when they close for the year but Dale Hollow State Park in Kentucky is a great place to stay. The sites we're well maintained last year when we were there and the lodge had a pretty view with good food.
  • Cumberland is full of house boats dumping their **** everywhere... Norris is much cleaner. I'm also a fan of Douglas since it's only 30min from Pigeon Forge.
  • Take a look at Hickory Star. Located on beautiful Norris Lake. When I was into boating, this is where I stayed.
  • We have a cabin on Norris Lake near Lafollette TN. If you like a small campground there is a big full service Marina on Whitman Hollow Rd with a few full service sites with a public boat ramp nearby. Nice area good Lake access and fewer people than the other marinas. It is run by Whitman Hollow Marina which has a web site if you want to get more information. www.whitmanhollow.com
